My USA Health Care Solution

Health care can be handled in every USA county/parish in three words: penny sales tax.

Everyone buys, hopefully within their means, no matter how much they make. Right? No cut offs on paying sales tax - you buy, you pay.

No one wants government involvement forcing insurance, or even nationwide social medicine (we have all seen flaws in that system too), so this could be an alternative.

Yes, the government will have to be involved because someone has to collect it, make sure it goes to the proper place, as well as overseeing that proper place is using it properly.

Of course, it should be with government accountability too, insuring the pot isn't being dipped into by other factors. "We the people" should be on top of this to insure it doesn't become corrupt or diminished in needed funds.

Some counties nationwide, like ours, already do this. It has even helped some of my family members, that have no insurance, when they were in dire need of major medical services.

Paying, in this manner, helps those in need as we shop and buy, and should warm our hearts to do it.

The US government currently allows a deduction on sales tax paid if you file a long form but I think this defeats the purpose in giving if we give with one hand and take it back with another. No government can sustain on that principle.

Anyway, to continue, we may have money to buy products today, but the coin could flip on any of us and one day those that have may be those that need.

Discussions for any flaws in this theory are welcomed, because I'm sure we are all perplexed in handling this situation.
