Degrees: Not All Success Stories Has One

I want to share a personal story about my husband and some of my many years of insight on this subject of accredited degrees. I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears of those who are easily persuaded by the promises of fame and fortune. Those who will be just as easily disappointed when they realize they've been duped, or they don't have the ability to keep moving forward, but are now facing tuition loans.

I believe, instead of promoting free education (nothing's ever free), we should have more emphasis towards trades. Pushing university degrees needs to stop because it floods the market with lawyers, scientists, teachers, accountants, doctors, engineers etc., etc., who don't always find a job in their career and still have to pay back sinfully huge loans for their education - unless their parents hocked everything to do it for them.

I cannot begin to tell you the people I've met in my life who are working at jobs that are not in their field of education but they were still paying on their tuition loans. I've even heard of people who left the legal and medical fields due to numerous reasons. We may be putting too much emphasis on the wrong thing. We still need carpenters, electricians, street sweepers, janitors, maids, trash collectors and not just scientist, engineers and any other accredited degreed field. Not to say that we don't need those too, that's not the point I wish to make.

Instead of getting caught up in that often deceitful web of higher education and riches, you may want to consider a trade school but only after you check the market and make sure it's not already flooded with others wanting the same trade. Look to see what jobs are needed, as they may often pay you more. When a trade is saturated with people, it becomes an employer's market. They can hire anyone for less. This includes degreed jobs too. I discovered this in the late eighties when I lost my job in accounting, due to the recession. I was told that people, with an accounting degree and recently getting out of universities, were being hired at less then I was making, because the accounting market was flooded.

Anyway, I know my husband may not appreciate me saying this but I'm going to toot his horn for him. After he put his time in with the Army, he worked a full time job as a city street sweeper at night. He, eventually, started his own part-time carpet cleaning business and did this in the mornings after he got off of work from the city. In time, he retired from the city and went full-time in his carpet cleaning business, which also included  upholstery and tile cleaning. They didn't have trade schools for either of those jobs. He learned by on-the-job training, books, conventions and the internet but mostly by dedication and hard work. He rarely told anyone he couldn't do anything. He learned. He rarely turned down a job. He did whatever he could to make a living. He cared about what he did and never had to advertise. Word-of-mouth advertising kept him busy. He didn't have time to be jealous over another's success, he was too busy concentrating on his own. After selling his business in 2013, retiring for a second time, he still gets customers calling him and telling him they wish he was still in business. This blog picture is when he decided to go full time into his business, after he retired from the city. You can see how excited he was. Some people thought he'd fall on his face after leaving a regular paying job and investing into a new van and the professional equipment he needed. He proved them wrong.

Maybe some may looked down on him because he wasn't a doctor or lawyer, for instance, but he was successful in both his job and business without being either. He didn't have tuition loans to pay but he had supplies and equipment maintenance. He was frugal and saved whenever he could. At the beginning, when he was still working for the city, that helped pay for his business supplies until his business could support itself. He made decent wages with the city and charged reasonable fees for his business services. He never once thought a degree would make him more successful in what he was doing.

Thankfully, by the grace of God and planning ahead during our working years, we can pay our bills in full every month with our retirement incomes. I can remember times, in my younger years, that I couldn't. I lived paycheck to paycheck, so I know how it feels. Today, we both live with the philosophy that if we don't need it, we don't get it; if we can't afford it, we don't buy it. We also save for any emergency that may occur or vacations before we take them. He's always thinking ahead; saving for home or car repairs, medical or dental expenses, because we know they're inevitable.

I've learned a lot by being in his life which is why I wanted to share this about him. His success story didn't happen overnight. It is one of a laborer, one whose body took a beating and sometimes he wishes it could have been different or easier, but who can enjoy life now because of it. I'm sure he doesn't appreciate me telling him how "lucky" he was to be able to do what he did, especially when he's feeling the physical pains of his laborious years, but he knows I mean well. I'm very proud of him and his accomplishments, his successes, none of which took an accredited degree.

Does God Help Those Who Help Themselves?

Does God help those who help themselves? As one of my friends, Janelle, said: "Laziness does not prosper." I agree. Why should laziness be rewarded? Why should God, or our guidance, do the work for us?

I found this answer and thought I'd share it: "Apart from salvation, there is perhaps a way that the concept "God helps those who help themselves" is correct. As an example, if you asked me to help you move a piece of furniture, but then just watched me as I moved the furniture for you, I was not actually helping you. I would be doing the work for you. Many Christians fall into the trap of inactivity. Many Christians ask God for help, but then expect God to do everything Himself. They excuse this by pointing to the fact that God will provide according to His will and in His timing. However, this is not a reason for inactivity. As a specific example, if you are in need of a job, ask the Lord to help you find a job - but then be active in actually looking for a job. While it is in His power to do so, it is highly unlikely that God will cause employers to come looking for you!" -  http://gotquestions.org/

Many times, I felt I had helped myself but faced many difficulties in getting what I was working so hard to achieve. I remember a few times that I was inactive and said, "forget it, if it was meant to be it would be." So, I feel, God did bring a few things to me. Why? Maybe He knew I had done all I could, with the adversity at hand, and it was time for someone to step in and help. In other words, my constant pushing forward, yet feeling overwhelmed and giving up, was finally noted and a hand was offered.

That hand isn't always invisible either. It could be a job offer through a friend, an offer to babysit, an offer to help you move, or clean your house because you're ill. Sometimes, it's just a hug or a shoulder to cry on. There are many things that we don't often consider. Also, not all will heed the call to help because they're not meant to; they may even get in the way. Furthermore, it may take time for the right one to show up. I've learned to be patient but keep doing my best to help myself. That's the most important thing.

It's important to keep putting our thoughts out into the universe but just as important to wait our turn. Eventually, we may look back and realize the many times that this "hand" had been offered due to our diligence. I, also, feel it's okay to ask if it's time yet, but don't always expect a yes. I have this mental imagine of a child asking a parent: are we there, yet? How many times will the child hear no before hearing yes? Also, if the parent didn't continue driving, the child would never get a yes. In addition, if the child hadn't been persistent in asking, would the parent have had the added incentive to complete the journey? As they say: God does work in mysterious ways. 😉

America: Killing the Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs

What I discovered, while traveling in America, is seeing the good and bad in many things. You can't help but notice. Of course, traveling internationally, I've seen enough good and bad for comparison, which helped me appreciate America, yet this country is far from perfect. I would be remiss in thinking we don't have our flaws.

During a recent road trip, I've seen roads that were in need of miner or major repair. In many areas, there was construction, in process, to do so. My husband and I often talk about roads that seem to be repaired more quickly in higher tax base areas because the money is there to do it. Go into lower tax base areas, anywhere, and you may see pot holes and cracks everywhere. That's our tax dollars at work. Roads seem to be repaired faster where there is more money being contributed due to higher real estate taxes, etc. It is what it is.

This leads me to something I saw in Memphis, Tennessee. My husband and I were appalled and shocked at the mess the roads were in, especially around Graceland. Huge potholes and cracks everywhere. Yes, I realize that pot holes and cracks can suddenly appear, and for many reasons, but this many? I felt I was in a third world country. We even said that Elvis would roll over in his grave.

This is an example of what can happen to areas that have the majority of people who don't pay anything or next to nothing in taxes. The government can run out of money to repair or maintain many things. This causes businesses to take their business elsewhere, leaving the tax base to suffer more. We saw plenty of abandoned buildings and homes in many areas during our trip, too.

Anyway, I read an article that was written over a year ago where Memphis was in line to repair over 60,000 pot holes, but we did not see any construction going on around Graceland or nearby. My husband even stated that this area was becoming a shit hole and he didn't care to ever go back there again. If others feel the same way, then Memphis will start loosing it's tourism income too. Maybe they already are.

We can't squeeze blood out of a turnip. We are destroying our country with this insane attitude of gimme-gimme-gimme, as well as the government waste and abuse of our tax dollars. It saddens me to see it. Then I look around at the beauty of our country's national parks, monuments, and forest and pray there is hope for us. Maybe there will be, once we get our heads out of our proverbial asses and realize we have all been part of unprofitable actions motivated by avarice: killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.

Self-Deception: When We Lie to Ourselves

I've had some time to think about this subject of self-deception, lately, and even though this may offend some people, I've come to a point in my life that I don't care anymore. I care about what I feel is right even if that hurts someone's feelings.

For a long time now, I've been feeling that our world is on a runaway train with being politically correct or placating fantasies. When do we feel that "do no harm" is exactly what we're doing to any individual being allowed their self-deception? I can hear it now: but, but, but.... There are no buts when it comes to actuality.

It's one thing to say, that a person deceiving them self of thinking they're a werewolf or vampire, for instance, shouldn't be allowed, because it may, advertently, harm others - if taken too far. However, what about the harm to others, inadvertently, created by one's fantasy? Is it truly okay to say that one should be allowed their self-deception when karma (cause and effect) is in play in all things - effecting all things - if not now, than later? Like the proverbial ripple of a rock in a pond.

When do we decide that mental illness is a serious thing that can harm anyone in its path and we're contributing to it by our allowance? If a person looks in a mirror and sees a man but says he identifies with being a unicorn, isn't he lying to himself based on physical evidence? Aren't we contributing to the lie when he wants us to go along with it?

Would it be any different if a white woman looked in her mirror but said she identifies with being a black woman? A black man looking in his mirror but identifies as being oriental? Any person looking in their mirror and seeing a human but identifies with anything but human? Yet, we, as a society, have to turn our backs on scientific fact in order to placate that ego? To ignore tangible evidence to appease the intangible?

Isn't that what's called enabling? Would we do that with any other fantasy that may lead to destructive behavior? No, we wouldn't! Or, at least, we shouldn't. Then why should we enable anything else that is harmful because someone wants to deceive themselves and wants us to participate?

As I was taught, allowing doesn't mean putting up with. How many more lines, in the sand, do we draw? How many more times do we cross them because of being politically correct? Or allowing another's fantasy, that they know is a lie when they look in their mirror? When they look into society's mirror? Or, is society becoming so allowing that they too are caught up in self-deception?

Oil Wells and Pumps are an Eyesore?

I think there are times where people protest about a topic but use an illogical way to do it. This particular topic is about roadside oil wells or pumps being an eyesore. I feel, they're actually against the product more than the equipment, but they think they're using the equipment as leverage.

I do know, based on my road trips in America, that there are some states that appease people by camouflaging them, and some states haven't. On my recent road trip, I noted many areas that did both. But, here's the point I wish to make. Why use that as a reason, when there are many eyesores along highways in America.

Let's start with the first one people may have complained about in history. How about telegraph lines? Later, we added telephone and electric lines, which dotted our landscaping, just to help make our lives easier. Then we had, and still have, all the billboards and road signage everywhere. Today, we see city water towers, fields of wind turbines, and huge cell towers. I see businesses with heavy duty equipment, farmers with silos, abandoned farmhouses along the highways, among many other things that can be seen as an eyesore.

My point: why protest about one thing and not the others? Especially, when most of these represent technology to assist or improve our lives. See? It's illogical. As my dad used to say: "say what you mean and mean what you say." Are these anymore an eyesore than other things?

This blog picture is a collage of several pictures I took within a few hours on my recent road trip. That's not nearly the things I saw that could be considered as eyesore, but, hopefully, it will do to prove my point.

Appreciation

I woke up to an email this morning that made my day. It's always nice to know all the effort one has done is appreciated and that sharing our experiences, no matter how uncomfortable it can be to do so, can help others. Here is what was written on one of my YouTube videos. It was in regards to one of my friends sharing her psychic attack experiences in order to help people. Based on the email, it did just that.

----------
Comment: Thank you for sharing this truly mind opening story! I had severe depression when I was 16, but I'm doing pretty great now. I still think about suicide everyday, but I put on a facade, smile, and pretend that nothing could ever possibly bother me.

I'm 24 now and work at Starbucks. I enjoy it very much because I'm constantly around people and I get to make their day better, even if in the most minute ways. That in turn makes me feel better about myself, but it was never enough. I needed regular social activity, so I managed to make some new friends and visit every week.

The reason I deeply appreciate this video is because it really gave me insight into my personal life and helped me reflect on it. It's also very comforting to know that I'm by no means the only person who went through this.

I'll definitely check out your other videos. One particular video title in the suggestion list really made my heart stop when I read it. I literally had to read it a few times. "Psychic Attacks - Penis and Bum Visions and More!"

When I was very young, my parents were in a very violent and abusive relationship. I remember them screaming, throwing, hitting, and crying. Both my parents were alcoholics and crack/coke addicts.

I only lived there until I was 8, but I remember some extremely bizarre things. I would sleep walk all the time with no recollection of anything. I also had a dire fear of going to bed because my bed would shake.

I remember having very bad sleep paralysis. My body would be frozen still and start vibrating violently, very much like electrocution. I would usually feel heavy pressure on my neck/chest area, and even sometimes feel like I'm being choked or suffocated. I would hear cackling and would literally have this overall feeling that something was going to kill me.

I saw these horrible faces - hairy, horned, claws, red eyes, red skin, sharp long yellow teeth; pretty much every detestable feature you could think of. I would also have vivid dreams of being tortured/killed.

The reason that other video title really popped out for me is because I remember having nightmares in a place that resembled hell. There would be little red devils everywhere and I would be bouncing around getting penetrated by them, and then vise versa.

It's a very terrible thing to say and I feel horrible for even mentioning it, but I just want to tell everyone (especially the "non-believers") that demonic possession is VERY real and dangerous.

It's so odd that I have such a strong memory of many of those events, but it is still quite vague and animated.

Thanks again for sharing such an interesting account of your friends experience. I feel very humbled to know that other people have had much of the same experiences that I've had.

Reply: First, let me say how terribly sorry I feel for your experiences. I am so happy to know you are steadily working towards a mentally healthier life and that you know it can be done. Hopefully, those that keep sharing their lives will help others too. Which means, I hope with all my heart you will continue to share your life to help others with theirs. I've learned that this has not only helped others, by sharing my story, it has also helped me, because, like you said, we're not alone. Stay positive, stay strong, but mostly keep loving yourself because you're worth it.

Confirmation Bias

Do you ever get those tiny nudges from the universe; those little feelings that let you know something additional needs to be considered? I get those, occasionally, with guidance, which gives me that clue to investigate further, if I choose. It generally occurs when I'm currently reading or hearing something that may not be actual or factual for whatever reason. I'm glad guidance does this, even though I feel I'm always in training to understand the whys and wherefores of personalities and "truth."

Lately, over the last few months, it seems guidance has been showing me what it really means to be open minded; seeing both sides of a situation and basing an opinion on the totality of that knowledge; using this to choose what we feel is right for us. Yet, there is also what's right for another or others. This may not always be right for the individual, because of our preconceptions. This is what we see daily in any form of discussion or debate, especially the political or religious commentary we often see on social or news media that tends to express what I call bias cherry picking from the bigger picture.

As I told a friend: "I find cherry picking seems to be a common thing in many situations." It's because we pick what fits our awareness due to being comfortable with it. We present a point of view that agrees with our point of view and we ignore anything else that may dispute it. This allows us to keep our security blanket and all else becomes immaterial. Our ego may stubbornly reject additional, factual information that may change our mind.

Recently, I read a friend of a friend's comment (quote below), regarding political party ideology, and it pretty much stated what guidance had been showing me. However a terminology was also given that sums up what I've been reading, and intuitively sensing, regarding months of political rhetoric. It was: confirmatory bias.

Quote: For every opinion or belief someone may hold, there will be another party who just as strongly oppose that idea.  Both sides usually claim to sit with the best arguments, the real facts, and the correct world view; and, ironically both sides regard the other as being indoctrinated, blind to the obvious, and outright stupid.  Most people only expose themselves to information that matches their own worldview. It is uncomfortable to do otherwise. This is what is known as confirmatory bias."

I looked into these two words and the proverbial light bulb went off in my mind. "In psychology and cognitive science, confirmation bias (or confirmatory bias) is a tendency to search for or interpret information in a way that confirms one's preconceptions, leading to statistical errors."

As I mentioned above, it showed me the meaning behind all these little nudges that I've been receiving from guidance to make sure I didn't fall into that trap. Below is a video link which explains more. I hope everyone takes the time to watch it. More importantly, I hope it helps explain why we're often willing to only confirm our beliefs, our comfort zone, instead of taking the effort in looking for data that may logically refute them.

Ascended Masters: Ascending Faiths

I had someone ask me about my faith (religious doctrine) and decided to blog about it. Even though I had already made a video on You Tube some time ago (see below link), I thought I'd share some more of my feelings.

I was raised Christian but mildly studied other faiths to understand them (you can hear more about this on the video). Like guidance around me, I consider myself a spiritual person who transcends faiths to be connected to the true source... Creator. To me, this is what I feel is meant by being an ascended master... one who mentally ascends in their universal awareness and becomes a master in this field of study.
I felt that these past ascended masters were teaching this ascension path but faiths were created because of it, and even though I respect these faiths, I don't particularly like them due to the "religious" wars they've created throughout history. When it comes to wars, I just wish they'd keep religion out of it. It's the "I want power" ego that generally creates wars... faith seems to be used as an excuse.

It's a person or nation that wants power. We should keep our heavenly father out of it because He is no more one faith then He is one nation.

I do understand that faiths have a lot of good points. They can provide individual support within a community. They can boost a community's well being. I just don't like the concept that one may feel they are better than another.

To me that's like siblings thinking they are better than other siblings. That's not saying that one sibling may have more going for it than another but in God's eyes, as a good parent, He would see all his children (faiths) with their good and bad points but still love them equally... knowing they can only be what they are in that moment.

However, as any good parent, He would want us to get along and do what we can to better ourselves... not to be beneath Him but to be equal to Him... as any parent would want for their children.

So the hate we are experiencing is due to sibling rivalry and not from God and His past or current prophets or prophetesses... those who have also transcended faiths by ascending their awareness into a higher one.

Anyone can take this path while still being a physical being. There's no magic to it... no tricks. It's simply just taking the steps in learning how. There are many teachers that may teach in different ways but as long as these paths lead to the ultimate goal, it shouldn't matter how one gets there.

This awareness ascension is like going from first grade to a university graduate and even beyond. Some say it's going on to other dimensions, yet it's all education... whatever name one wants to call it.

We are all on our learning paths and at different levels of awareness. However, some prefer to waste their time being hateful and jealous over the university graduates to pay attention to their need to learn. This means taking the same path these ascended masters (university graduates) have done who have already ascended in their awareness.

Some even come back to teach, so others can learn what they were taught. It would be similar to a university graduate now being a professor and sharing their awareness with new students wanting to learn the same field of study.

So you see, it's not faiths but awareness that will get one on the true path to God. Yet, we live in the past with our beliefs... we give our power away to false paths... and then get angry when we're told we are doing so... over and over and over again.

Also, it is only our ego that deems ourselves unworthy to learn or be equal to another. The same ego that fights enlightenment because of a false doctrine.
Who is the antichrist? Anyone who gets in the way of this awareness including ourselves. We all have the power to do it, why we don't is beyond me... unless it's fear, laziness, or lack of worth.

However, I believe our Creator has patience and is just waiting for us to get out of our density. He doesn't mind how long it takes. He knows we have all eternity to do it. No need to chase after us. He'll just let us run in circles and tire ourselves out because He knows we won't listen until then.

He knows we will keep giving our power away to other's faiths and ascendant masters until we choose to ascend ourselves.

I'm Spiritual but not Religious

There are many more, past and current,
ascended masters who taught the way of the universe
 then are depicted in this picture.

A Project to Project

I've had this blog written for some time. I was asked to hold off only due to some controversy about this knowledge being a bad thing in the wrong hands. Sort of like turnabout is fair play and it turning into something evil. Finally, yesterday I heard: "Turn it into evil? Seriously? What do you think these people have been going through with projected negative thoughts and painful attacks? Maybe it's time to teach people not only to protect themselves but turnabout IS fair play. Only this time, it's the good righting the wrong that's been done. It's time to show others that there are good projected thoughts and not just these evil beings attacking people. Instead of always being on the defense, it's time to be on the offense. Let's use positive karma. Let's balance those scales."

As it were, I still hesitated to blog it until I went under psychic attack last night. It was based on jealousy due to the feelings i received. That's when I decided to go for it. Below is what I had  written. What do you think? I'll let you decide.

~~~~~~~~~~
Let's create an enterprise to extend good will. A "project to project" for what we wish to change for the better on our planet.
We could experiment with projecting positive thoughts/emotions to help others help others or themselves; all with everyone's highest good in mind. After all, we can be the solution or we can be part of the problem. We can help or keep complaining.
For instance, and with our angels' assistance and permission, we can...
Project to people to help more with the poor and homeless.
Project to bullies to be understanding and caring.
Project to someone who's always angry and let them feel love and peace.
Project to those who are depressed that there is hope and never give up.
Project to someone who wants to commit a crime that it's not worth giving up their freedom by going to jail.
Project to parents to be kinder to their children.
Project to employers to be fairer to their employees.
Project to those who are projecting psychic pain to another and ask them to move on.
Project to anyone addicted to anything to get help and stay on a healthy path.
Project to those doing battle to lay down arms and make peace with their enemy.
There are so many areas to consider. Choose your path wisely. Hopefully, we will all feel inspired and good about it; a win-win situation. That's what matters. Maybe one day we will need inspiration too. Turn about is fair play. Don't forget, anything we choose to do should be with universal permission. Anyone who has read my blogs or watched my videos will know how important this is.
Lastly, and most importantly, we can even project to our earth and heal what needs healing. We already see a lot of people verbally and physically projecting hate and violence, isn't it time for some balance - more love and kindness?
After all, it's just a thought.
Forgiveness: My Muse - Maya Angelou?
When I first developed awareness about the guidance that I had around me all my life, my questions were endless. In my early years of learning, I learned about forgiveness. It's not that easy to forgive another much less ourselves because that takes knowing and knowing takes time. I was taught that in order to love ourself we have to learn to forgive ourself. Knowing ourself allows forgiveness to ourself. Knowing others allows forgiveness to others. Not too many people prefer to forgive - hating may be easier. However, I was also taught that forgiveness doesn't mean constantly putting up with what we feel is bad behavior.
As years progessed, I realized that there are many thoughts in the universe that we can receive. To me, at the time, the message was more important than the messenger. Then one day, I read something from Maya Angelou that made me think that even people who are still physical can be an inspiration. Even without knowing them, they can become someone's invisible muse. Their thoughts can be received and can still teach us. Often we may think what a great idea or thought we had. In reflection, maybe it was Maya Angelou, or her spiritual teacher, who taught me about forgiveness.
~~~~~
This is what she wrote: “I don't know if I continue, even today, always liking myself. But what I learned to do many years ago was to forgive myself. It is very important for every human being to forgive herself or himself because if you live, you will make mistakes - it is inevitable. But once you do and you see the mistake, then you forgive yourself and say, 'well, if I'd known better I'd have done better,' that's all. So you say to people who you think you may have injured, 'I'm sorry,' and then you say to yourself, 'I'm sorry.' If we all hold on to the mistake, we can't see our own glory in the mirror because we have the mistake between our faces and the mirror; we can't see what we're capable of being. You can ask forgiveness of others, but in the end the real forgiveness is in one's own self. I think that young men and women are so caught by the way they see themselves. Now mind you. When a larger society sees them as unattractive, as threats, as too black or too white or too poor or too fat or too thin or too sexual or too asexual, that's rough. But you can overcome that. The real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself. If we don't have that we never grow, we never learn, and sure as hell we should never teach.”
~~~~~
Could this be our real trial in understanding forgiveness? Letting go of what we think we know in order to know more or better? After all, did this person make me angry, or did I allow it due to not knowing how to handle the situation better? And, if I know better, will I do better? I think Maya Angelou, in any dimension, would hope we would.
Immigration: Fear Brings Out the Ugly
Genealogy taught me about the good and bad of history and many still seem to have a cross to bear over some grievance because of it. They often carry it as a badge of honor; not to correct the mistakes from the past but to use it to encite more hate and violence. We're supposed to learn from history and correct our behavior, not dwell on it or live in it. Especially use it as an excuse to keep whining about something we cannot change or to allow it to keep breeding hate and violence.
I shared this comment (below) with a friend and decided to share it here too. It was in regards to memes about the treatment of Native Americans and Irish settlers. I don't mind the memes as long as it's to teach us how badly we've treated people in the past (which these were), so we don't repeat it. It's suppose to remind us how bad things were, not give us complete freedom to create more mayhem.
Also, I like to add to what I said below, there has been cruelty to many other cultures and religions in American history, too. The Catholics were treated very harshly in some areas of America. Other religions have had their fair share of hate and violence. There always seems to be a focus on hate somewhere about someone or something.
---- Comment
It doesn't matter which country, many immigrants, whether they were Germans, Mexicans, Chinese, Swedish etc, saw a lot of discrimination. The Native Americans saw the rush to migrate to this new land from Europe. Their fear of being taken over was realized just as people who settled here also began to feel the same way. Their way of life was challenged and it makes people uncomfortable. Their fear brings out the ugly.
Others discovered that the challenges they had fled from, such as poverty or religious persecution, were to be encountered in America as well."
