A remark that was used, when I was younger, to reflect someone's state of mind, maybe from drug or alcohol abuse, was: living in the gutter.
They've sunk low.
Sometimes we would say that they may have gone beyond help and were in the sewer.
They've sunk lower.
Based on a lot of observation, this is how I feel about a lot of reckless, hateful, and uneducated comments and memes today being tossed around the Internet.
What's worse is these things are still believed even when information is shown to prove otherwise.
People are stooping so low, I'm surprised they can see the sun from where they are.
It's amazing, due to how "in the dark" they are, that they actually think they're impressing educated people. It makes me wonder what kind of destructive flow or curse would create that sewer mentality and why.
