Matthew 10:36 - man's enemies will be the members of his own household.
Cartoonist Walt Kelly, whose woodland philosopher Pogo Possum said in his 1971 cartoon, "We have met the enemy and he is us."
Maybe it should be narrowed down to: I have met the enemy and it is me.
Yes, sometimes that enemy may be ourselves. We can become our worse nemisis; our own self undoing. Blanketed in a brain fog of our phobias, our fears, our programming, our uncertainties, or our ignorance; all which control our thinking or keeps us from thinking.
I've learned that if one needs to defend their truth with frustration, hate or anger, it's time to ask yourself if you're your enemy and why.
Think about it.
